International Day of Play 2026: Celebrating the Power of Play at iLEAD

After decades of research, the evidence keeps building that the best way for children to learn and thrive is through play. Play is crucial for healthy brain development. Play gives children space to create while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength.

At iLEAD Hybrid at Acton Studio, we make room for play as an essential part of our approach to education because we know it is required for every child’s healthy development.

With summer upon us, we encourage families to intentionally create time and space for children to play freely, whether exploring nature, engaging in imaginative games, or simply enjoying unstructured downtime, as we did together on Friday at our Summer Kickoff Celebration!

Play shapes well-rounded, resilient, and thriving individuals — and not just children but grown-ups too. When we play, we’re not just having fun; we’re building the foundation for a brighter future. We hope you have a happy Day of Play!
