Dear Families,
We hope you enjoyed a wonderful first school week of 2024! As a reminder, we are closed Monday, January 15, in observance of MLK Day of Service, and we look forward to seeing you when school resumes on Tuesday, January 16!
Our facilitators enjoy bringing learning to life with hands-on activities. For example, 7th graders in Mrs. Madrid’s science class dove into the world of physics and engineering, discovering the force and energy within a stretched rubber band. From stacking cups to harnessing potential energy, elasticity, and motion, they explored the science behind it all. This collaborative experiment not only sparked curiosity but also fostered teamwork and communication. Embracing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) principles, our learners embark on practical applications, bridging imagination with scientific concepts. We’re excited for the continuing opportunities ahead for all our learners to learn and grow.
If you have any questions for our team, please don’t hesitate to reach out to info@ileadav.org or 661-494-7442. And be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected.
With gratitude,
Talaya Coleman
