iLEAD AV Highlights of the Week

iLEAD AV Soccer

Our 6th-8th grade learners started soccer practice last week. They are learning that soccer is a fun way to grow and develop not only their soccer skills but their leadership and social skills for life. Soccer practice will continue through November after school every Monday through Wednesday, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. They will be learning ball movement, ball control, passing, shooting, distribution, and foot coordination. If you have any questions, please email Coach Ali at ali.vasconez@ileadav.org.

Costume Parade

Thank you to all the families who came to watch the Costume Parade. The learners had fun parading around the field showing off their best, funniest, cutest, and most original costumes.

Día de los Muertos Event

Thank you to the staff and families who came to support the iLEAD booth at the Día de los Muertos event in Palmdale. Many families showed their support by helping booth and stopping by to say hello.

Habit # 4, Think Win-Win: I Win, You Win, We Win!

The 5th grade learners practiced habit number four, “Think Win-Win,” when they problem-solved during their POL. When an issue came up, they thought about what others wanted, not just what they themselves wanted. They were kind to each other and thought of ways to help everyone be happy during their Presentation of Learning about the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas.
