Once we purchase the materials, do we get to keep them forever?

All materials purchased with state instructional funds are the property of the school. The materials are loaned to the students while they are enrolled in the school and are for their use for educational purposes.

Consumable materials can be used only once. Consumables that have been used do not need to be returned. These are a few examples:

  • Supplies such as paper, paint, markers, art pencils, etc.
  • Science kits, anatomy kits, etc.
  • Workbooks that student write in.

Non-consumables are materials that can be used over and over again. Here are just a few examples:

  • Teacher’s Guides, textbooks, etc.
  • Microscopes, CD/DVDs, etc.
  • Most books.
