iLEAD AV Exploration Learner Spotlight: Xena C.
Xena, a 4th grader at iLEAD AV Exploration, is an extremely bright learner who explores her interests and takes initiative with her learning. Taking on side projects, such as writing her own book and building ambitious Lego creations, Xena is a self-motivated learner. She comes to every class, puts her all into her projects and curriculum, and even works ahead, completing lessons on her own in her spare time. Join us in getting to know Xena!
Why did you choose to enroll at iLEAD AV Exploration?
To have more one-on-one teaching.
Who is a strong iLEAD AV Exploration influence and why?
Mrs. Hernandez allows us to work at our own pace, with more time if we need it.
Why did your family decide to homeschool, and what does it allow you to do that you couldn’t do at other schools?
It was during COVID-19 when we all had to do Zoom, and then we enjoyed being home all together — me and my siblings — so we just continued homeschool, which I love.
Can you name a favorite project you’ve worked on at iLEAD AV Exploration?
The “Who I Am” project.
Who would you like to give a shoutout to at iLEAD AV Exploration?
Mrs. Hernandez explains things when I don’t understand the subject. She is very caring and very understanding when I have a lot of questions or talk a lot. She makes me feel very comfortable and confident in myself. Because I feel like when you’re at a school, there are so many students that teachers really can’t have as good of relationships with students.
We are so glad Xena’s family is part of our community at iLEAD AV Exploration. Join us in celebrating this awesome, creative, fun, and unique lifelong learner!
