iLEAD AV Exploration Learner Spotlight on Victoria V. P.

We are thrilled to shine the spotlight on iLEAD AV Exploration 4th grader Victoria! Alongside her mom, Mrs. Ponce, Victoria has been part of the iLEAD AV Exploration community since 2nd grade and she’s been homeschooling since kindergarten. Their decision to join iLEAD stems from the welcoming and supportive environment, where both Victoria and Mrs. Ponce feel a strong sense of community and connection. Let’s get to know Victoria!

Why did you choose to enroll at iLEAD AV Exploration?
The welcoming and supportive community. From all the staff to the parents and the curriculum. We love iLEAD AV Exploration! My daughter loves the community and her education.

What is your best memory of your time at iLEAD AV Exploration so far?
All the fun activities done with the kids. From the meetings to all the fun gatherings.

Who is a strong iLEAD AV Exploration influence and why?
All the staff is wonderful! Victoria had Mrs. Toval and Mrs. Hernandez for 3rd grade and now for 4th, and they are all wonderful teachers. Extremely supportive, comforting, and caring. They make her education fun and exciting. Thank you!

Why did your family decide to homeschool, and what does it allow you to do that you couldn’t do at other schools?
There’s so much flexibility, and we love that. Being able to explore, learn, and educate has been life-changing. She’s exceeding and thrilled to learn. We decided to homeschool when Covid began. We’ve continued since kindergarten, and we love it!

Can you name a favorite project you’ve worked on at iLEAD AV Exploration? What made it memorable?
Back in November 2024, we worked on a project. Victoria was inspired to write and research about Dorothea Lange. Victoria created a camera that represented her and talked about her life and experiences. It was a wonderful experience!

Who would you like to give a shoutout to at iLEAD AV Exploration? Who has helped you and how?
We’ve worked with Mrs. Rivera, Mrs. Toval and Mrs. Hernandez. Thank you, ladies, for making a difference in our child’s life. We appreciate the dedication and all the support given to them and us, the parents.
