Message from the Director

Happy New Year, iLEAD AV families. I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and started the new year with joy.  We are looking forward to your return on Tuesday.

New Facilitators

I am happy to announce that we have added two outstanding new facilitators to the iLEAD AV team, who will begin this Tuesday.  Please join me in welcoming them.

Julie Kadlec

My name is Julie Kadlec, and it is a joy to join the iLEAD Antelope Valley team as a 5th and 6th grade multi-age class facilitator. I have been teaching for 14 years, 1st grade through college, and decided to begin teaching while completing my law degree. I never looked back because I belong in a classroom. I look forward to collaborating with you this year.

Terence Scott

My name is Terence Scott. I will be the new PE facilitator, and I am really glad to welcome you and your child to my classroom this year. I graduated from San Francisco State with a BA in Journalism, and I worked with youth throughout college. I have over five years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, and a huge passion for sports and physical fitness. I look forward to meeting you all and growing together.

Special Events

We have special events coming up this month:

  • Please join us on Thursday, January 17, for the first iSupport Parent Collaborative of the new year. Your contribution has a positive impact on all of the learners. Everyone who attends will be entered into the first iSupport raffle.
  • We are participating in the MLK Day of Service on Saturday, January 19, here at iLEAD AV.  MLK Day of Service is designed to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community. Please join our School Cleanup Day from noon to 4 p.m.  You will work alongside our team as we beautify and clean the campus.
  • Please be advised there is no school on Monday, January 21, in observance of MLK Day.
