iLEAD ANTELOPE VALLEY NEWS & EVENTS

iLEAD Antelope Valley learners playground

Dear iLEAD AV Families,

We had a terrific first week of school and we were so happy to see so many smiling faces, even with the masks! We thank you for entrusting your children’s education to us and we will continue to do our best to inspire your kids’ natural love of learning. We are excited and look forward to a wonderful and successful year! Please join us for Back to School Night on September 8th for Cohort A and September 9th for Cohort B from 4:30-6 pm. This is your chance to visit your child’s classroom where valuable information will be given. Please plan to attend. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 661-494-7442.

Thank you.

Valet Drop-offs/Pick-ups:

Learners must be dropped off in the valet line in the back parking lot. They may not be dropped off in the front parking lot. Please provide proof of the Daily Health Screening from ParentSquare at the time of drop-off. Please remember to download the ParentSquare app on your device or cell phone.

  • Pull your car as far forward as possible in the valet line.
  • Drop off at cones only and wait for a staff member to assist.
  • Learners should exit vehicles from the right side of the vehicle.
  • Drivers must remain in the vehicle.
  • Be patient and courteous.
  • Drive slowly and with caution.
  • Don’t forget to show your yellow valet card.
  • All learners must wear a face covering over their mouth and nose.

Daily Health Screening procedures prior to leaving your home each day on ParentSquare:

Log into the ParentSquare App on your phone to complete the questionnaire. This is required for every day that your learner is on campus. If you can answer yes to any of the following questions, please do not bring your learner to school and also notify the office immediately. If any of the symptoms or a diagnosis occurs within 14 days of your child being on campus, please contact the office with that information as well.

Access to Campus:

Only learners and staff will be permitted in classrooms and to move about campus. The office will remain closed to walk-up visitors. Should you need to physically meet with an office team member, please call the office to schedule an appointment at 661-494-7442. To the greatest extent possible, the business will be conducted outside, at the front door. All visitors to the front door must wear a face covering over their mouth and nose.

Thank you,
iLEAD AV Staff

From the Director of iLEAD AV Exploration:

iAV Exploration has had a successful first week! I’m so proud of our hard working staff! Developing a brand new program is not an easy task ! Our Educational Facilitators have put in tireless hours creating something wonderful for your learners. Please tell them thank you if you happen to see them. I know they’d appreciate that!

Lots of materials will be arriving for your learner in the next few weeks. Please schedule a time to pick up chromebooks or any other materials from your EF. A scheduled appointment is important for a few reasons:

  • 1). Our Exploration Staff is not on campus daily.
  • 2) Covid restrictions require only adults with appointments to be on campus. So please be sure to connect with your EF prior to showing up at the school site.

At your scheduled time, you will ring the bell at the gate outside the main office. The office staff will buzz you in. You will need to sign in and out, as well as follow safety protocol for Covid (wear a mask, 6 ft. distance, etc). Once you are signed in, your EF will be called and come to escort you to our classrooms. It is important we have you sign in and out for safety measures. If there were an emergency, we want to be certain that we can account for everyone. If you don’t sign out, we may be searching for you!

Our Synchronous Instruction has been going well. Our facilitators tell me they have enjoyed meeting your students via zoom and we look forward to beginning our on-site workshops soon! (Schedules will be coming from your EF soon!) We ask that you remember that this IS a home study program. Learners are expected to complete the work on time, which is outlined in their Individualized Learning Plan. It is up to you as the parent to ensure those assignments are completed. This home study program is designed for you to work with your child for several hours a day. You are a very important part of the team to educate your child. The facilitators are here to support and guide you every step of the way and will set you up for success.

I hope you all have an amazing week!

Sincerely,
Terri Budke
Director iLEAD AV Exploration
