How Individualized Learning Empowers Every Learner at iLEAD AV Studio

Every child is unique, wonderfully talented, and inherently valuable. That’s why iLEAD AV Studio is committed to individualized learning, an educational approach that tailors instruction to meet each learner’s distinct needs, abilities, and interests. We use a wide array of learning opportunities to create a personalized academic experience, empowering learners to progress at their pace, explore passions, and receive personalized support. Personalized Roadmap: The Individualized Learning Plan (ILP)

A cornerstone of our approach is the Individualized Learning Plan (ILP). At the beginning of each school year, our students (learners), with their facilitators (teachers) and parents, create an ILP. This plan includes academic goals (aligned with Common Core State Standards) and social-emotional goals. These goals are woven into yearlong targets, which the learner and facilitator continuously monitor, assess, and reflected upon. With clear expectations and opportunities to showcase their talents, learners are motivated to grow and achieve their goals.

Empowering Learners: Learner-Led Conferences

Students at iLEAD AV Studio learn to evaluate their progress. At least twice per year, they lead portfolio-based Learner-Led Conferences with their facilitators and parents. During these meetings, learners present their accomplishments, discuss strengths, and identify areas for growth. Facilitators coach them to confidently direct these discussions. These conferences ensure accountability and empower learners to take ownership of their learning journey.
