iLEAD AV Studio School-Wide Presentation of Learning: October 9

At iLEAD Antelope Valley Studio, all learners (TK-8) are currently immersed in our Soaring Aeronautics Project!

This school-wide effort introduces learners to the engineering design process and the principles of aerodynamics. The curriculum is rich, weaving in the history of flight, avian anatomy, experimental gliders, and meteorology to give meaning to hands-on research and writing.

Here are some highlights from the project so far:

• September 30: Learners and families interacted with a full-scale glider on campus, hearing firsthand from pilots about flight controls.
• Saturday, October 4: Our 8th-grade learners took their knowledge to the sky with the opportunity to fly a real glider.

Mark your calendar! The project culminates in our school-wide Presentation of Learning Day this Thursday, October 9. Get ready to be amazed as our learners share their extensive knowledge of aeronautics with the whole community!
