Educators have long said reading makes people smarter, and there’s research backing them up. A recent study conducted by the American Academy of Pediatrics found reading to children of any age wakens a number of regions in the left part of the brain. The areas in the brain that become active involve understanding the meaning of words and concepts tied to memory.
Our school-wide Multicultural Feast will be on Friday, November 22. Please stop by the office or give us a call to reserve your dish/item. Share food from your culture with us! Volunteers are also needed to help serve the learners.
We will not have after care on November 22 from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. All learners need to be picked up by 1:00 p.m.
Fall Break will be November 25-29. Extended care parents: Due to fall break, we will not have extended care Friday, November 22, 1:00-5:30 p.m. Children should be picked up by 1:00 p.m. Morning extended care will go on as scheduled.
