Thank You for Attending the iLEAD AV Fall Festival!

To all the families and friends who came to the iLEAD AV Fall Festival, thank you! The learners had fun creating and decorating all the booths, signs, and activities for the event. With your participation, we were able to raise money for the learners’ upcoming field studies!

We Loved Seeing You at the BOOlvd Halloween and Harvest Festival

Thank you to all who came out to support us at Lancaster’s BOOlvd Halloween and Harvest Festival. Many of our families came by the iLEAD booth to say hello.

Valet Pickup: Important Updates

Many of you may have noticed we changed valet pickup at the gate. Parents, we will now have you present your valet card at the valet gate to one of our Care Team sitting there. Your valet card will be verified, and your learner’s facilitator will be called from the radio to have them walked to the valet gate.

Habit #2: Begin with the End in Mind

At iLEAD AV, we use Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as a guidepost for social-emotional development and building a lifelong love for learning. Our learners have been focusing on the second habit: beginning with the end in mind. Here’s what that means: By knowing where you want to end up, you’ll have a better idea of how to get there. If you want to accomplish tasks in your day, start with a to-do list so you know what steps to take. Set goals. Knowing where you want to be will help you figure out how to get there.

Our first graders had a plan when they showed the phases and states of matter, solids, liquids, and gases through experiments. They made lists and organized materials to identify the state of each material used.

Once the plan was set, they were able to implement the experiments and have fun watching the experiments unfold.

Here the learners are experimenting with Mentos and cola to see how the mints will react when mixed with the liquid to create gas.
