iLEAD ANTELOPE VALLEY NEWS & EVENTS
Director’s Message
Hello iLEAD AV Families,
Please Save the Date for the upcoming Fall Festival! It is 10/29 from 6-8 pm. More info to come!!
Learning has been as active as ever at iLEAD AV. In the photos above, you can see a variety of activities focused on engagement and deeper learning. The 5th-grade class has been excited about their warm-ups, stretches, dances, and fitness songs – all in an effort to get them up, moving and motivated for their next lesson! In History class, middle school is working on their very own archeological digs to understand artifacts and how archeologists study prehistory. They also drew cave paintings to understand how to communicate symbols before a written language. In Science class, middle school is experimenting with dish soap, pepper, and warm water to see how germs form. The learners described the event, predicted what they thought they would see, then observed, and ultimately explained what happened.

Director’s Message
Hello iAV Exploration Families!
AV Exploration learners have been diving into their curriculum. Learners and parents are enjoying the literature-based program we are using called BookShark. Our parents are adjusting to their role as “teacher” in their homeschool adventures. Our learners have created some amazing things and display them in a platform called SeeSaw. Here they are able to see and discuss each other’s work. This works nicely with our Daily and Weekly Synchronous Instruction offered by our amazing Educational Facilitators.
I hope you enjoy your week and this beautiful weather!
Sincerely,
Terri Budke
Director of North LA County Exploration
