iLEAD Antelope Valley Family Going Live Soon!

Dear iLEAD Antelope Valley Families,

We value your feedback! We are currently surveying iLEAD Antelope Valley families to gain insight into your perception of our school’s effectiveness.

To conduct our Family Survey, we have partnered with Panorama Education, who safeguard your privacy, keeping your responses confidential. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete. You will also have access to a Chromebook at the upcoming Learner-Led Conferences to complete the survey. Your feedback will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make iLEAD Antelope Valley as effective as it can be in our mission to prepare each child to be a lifelong learner and leader in the 21st century.

You may complete the survey online between March 2 and March 27 using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by clicking on the link that will be sent to the email address we have on file for your family.

Note: The specific language you will read in the survey is not customized to our iLEAD language (for example, learner and facilitator vs. student and teacher). Since this is a nationally normed survey, no changes could be made to the specific language in the questions.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@ileadav.org.

With gratitude,
Dawn Roberson
Interim School Director

Dawn Roberson
Directora de escuela

Healthy Food Policy

Our learners are active and exerting energy outside, so they need nutritious refreshments, such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and as much water as possible. We’d like to share with you our Health and Wellness Policy as a helpful reference and to support you and your learner in making good food choices for nourishing the body and mind.

Please keep healthy choices in mind when packing snacks and lunches for school. Thank you for helping us support your learner!

Putting the 7 Habits Into Practice

This week’s habit is Habit #1 “Be Proactive”.

We look forward in showcasing the learners who exhibit Habit #1 next week.

Got Habits?

Are you curious about The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People? We embrace and apply them daily at iLEAD AV. Based on the book by Dr. Stephen Covey, the habits endure because they empower and inspire. Practicing the habits transforms lives because they are based on proven universal principles, like integrity, justice, honesty, and human dignity.

7 Habits training is now available to you, at no cost. This is a several thousand dollar value. Learn the habits and become more effective in your home, business, and interactions with others.

When: Thursdays – October 18th, 25th; November 7th, 14th, 21st.

Where: The iLEAD Lancaster Village, 6-7:30 p.m.

Cost: FREE

We will be finished before our Fall Break. This is a commitment of time that will be spent wisely.

Please contact kim.lengning@ileadlancaster.org to reserve your place.

It’s Time for ILPs

We are looking forward to your collaboration with your learners and their facilitator on the ILPs

iLEAD Schools embraces the whole child, focusing on both social-emotional and academic skills. In lieu of the traditional parent/teacher conference, the learners, facilitators, and parents/guardians collaborate annually to create Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) to guide instruction. Everyone works together to reflect on, monitor, and make adjustments to the ILP as needed. The primary goal of the ILP is to ensure that each child reflects on their own achievements and identifies areas in which they need to improve. Therefore, each learner will be working toward attainable goals aligned to their individual development.

Listed below are the dates for ILP appointments:

  • Friday, September 13th: ILP Appointments begin
  • Thursday, September 19th: ILP Appointments continue
  • Friday, September 20th: ILP Appointments continue
  • Friday, September 27th: Final ILP Appointments
